They can't do without it.

Feedback & Return on Investment

Our users are landscapers, drone operators, and tradespeople. They almost never calculate their return on investment.

They equip themselves for a simple reason: to continue doing their job without hurting their backs, and to finish their day in good shape.

They film their daily lives with the HPXO on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. You can click the icon below to go directly to the app. Their stories speak louder than words.

"Since I got the exo,
The tendinitis has disappeared.

Julien Charamathieu

Landscaper, Saint-Martin d'Uriage (Isère, France). 7 years in the trade.

  • Equipped since July 2023.

  • Typical work: hedge trimming in residential settings, Grenoble area.

  • Before HPXO: tendinitis in the shoulders from the sixth year. Cumulative fatigue by week's end during peak autumn. Painkillers in the evening.

  • With HPXO: tendinitis gone. Up to 3 hours of continuous trimming without removing the exo. 90 % of the hedge trimmer's weight carried by the arm. Home at night without pain.

  • Learning curve: 5 to 10 hours of use.

  • Anecdote: left one morning without the exo, turned around on the way to the site to fetch it.

An independent landscaper typically charges €10 to €12 per linear meter of trimmed hedge. With HPXO, the trimming rate increases by 50 to 100% thanks to the elimination of fatigue and prolonged breaks.

The depreciation calculation is therefore based on a few days of construction.

Example. HPXO price: €3,490 excluding VAT. At €10/linear meter, the system pays for itself in 349 meters of additional hedge trimmed (difference between trimming with and without the system). For a professional trimmer who trims 200 meters/day without the system and increases to 300 meters/day with it, the payback period is 3.5 days.

« I can't
do without it. »

Didier Demange, head of business, Auxonne (France).
Family firm founded in 1978, father and son.

  • Discovered through a TV report, tried at the Euroforest trade show.

  • Typical work: maintenance pruning in Burgundy, family estate.

  • Before HPXO: elbow joint pain after several days of trimming. Early epicondylitis.

  • With HPXO: pain gone. Up to 4 hours in a row without removing the exo. Takes it off only to refuel or speak to a client. « Without realising it, you never slow down. »

  • Learning curve: 1.5 to 2 hours to understand the principle, half a day to forget it is there.

  • Brand image: « People take photographs. They come to talk to us. »

"No more painkillers"

François prc.png

« I didn't enjoy trimming anymore.

Now I enjoy it again. »

François Fournier, Passion Jardin, Ruy-Monceau. 28 years in the trade, 16 years self-employed.

  • Equipped in early July 2024, during the quiet summer season to train.

  • Typical work: maintenance pruning for private clients and local authorities.

  • Before HPXO: « After 28 years in the trade, every landscaper is broken somewhere. » Chronic back pain for him and his team.

  • With HPXO: 6 hours of continuous trimming on one side of a long hedge. Pain gone. Pleasure of the gesture restored.

  • Brand image: « Our clients are glad that a small business like ours cares about its people's health. »

  • Trade appeal: « It could attract more women, more newcomers. »

  • Next step: repeat order of new units for the team.

"Work without it? Never."

Laurent prc.png

« I had severe back trouble.
Since the exo, I haven't taken a single tablet. »

Laurent Thivin, Landscaper, Le Bois d'Oingt (France).

  • Equipped in early September 2024 — one year of use at the time of the interview.

  • Typical work: maintenance trimming, peak autumn season.

  • Before HPXO: recurring back pain requiring painkillers and injections to keep working.

  • With HPXO: no more tablets, no more injections, no more locked shoulders. « I'm not saying I feel nothing, but it's no more than normal soreness. »

  • MSA application: aid request refused by his local fund. Laurent publicly argues the economic case for public financing: fewer sick leaves equals lower cost for the fund.

  • Closing line: « Invest. You'll see. »

The leading cause of occupational disease in France.

Upper-limb and back musculoskeletal disorders account for 87 % of recognised occupational diseases in France. A landscaper exposes shoulders, elbows and back to millions of arm-raising cycles over a career. The HPXO fully relieves these joints during the most costly phase of the motion.

Since 2018, the INRS has published methodological recommendations on exoskeleton integration in the workplace (brochures ED 6315 and ED 6416). The methodology recommends a prior ergonomic analysis and a supervised adaptation phase — exactly what each of the stories above describes.

For financial aid schemes (MSA, CARSAT, AGEFIPH, FIPHFP), each application is reviewed individually. See the FAQ.

What about musculoskeletal disorders?

The stories above are the individual experiences of the users named. The HPXO is load-assist equipment under the French Labour Code (Art. L4121-1 et seq.) and does not constitute a medical device nor personal protective equipment. For any confirmed musculoskeletal condition, consult your occupational physician.
